Strengthen International Cooperation, Fine Arts Study Program at ISI Yogyakarta Receives Academic Visit from Eszterhazy Karoly Catholic University, Hungary

Yogyakarta, April 1, 2026 — The Fine Arts Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, received an academic visit from Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, Hungary, in order to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of art and education. This activity, which takes place from March 30 to April 8, 2026, is supported by the Erasmus+ program, one of the European Union's prestigious higher education funding schemes. This visit is coordinated by Agnes Gyorvary-Kiss as the International Coordinator, and became an important momentum in the development of global academic networks for both institutions.
One of the main agendas during the visit was a guest lecture and presentation held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM WIB in the Audio Visual Room of the Fine Arts Department, FSRD, ISI Yogyakarta. On this occasion, the delegation from Hungary presented the profile of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, specifically the Faculty of Fine Arts, while also introducing the culture and higher education system in Hungary through an intercultural seminar.
Cooperation between ISI Yogyakarta and Eszterházy Károly Catholic University has been established for more than 10 years. During this period, both institutions have actively carried out student exchange programs, both by sending ISI Yogyakarta students to Hungary and vice versa.
In addition to broadening students' global perspectives, the presentation also highlights opportunities student exchange funded by Erasmus+. This program opens opportunities for Fine Arts students to study abroad for one semester, gain international academic experience, and enrich their creative perspectives in the field of art. This information was enthusiastically received by students, who showed great interest in scholarship and student exchange programs. This visit is expected to be a strategic step in opening up opportunities for sustainable cooperation in education, research, and student exchange between Indonesia and Hungary.
