Nowadays, art activities or agendas, especially in Yogyakarta, are very intensive. Unfortunately, not all art activists have the ability to "sell" their ideas to the public efficiently and effectively. Aside from that, the issue of publicizing art agendas in the form of exhibitions, performances, and festivals requires a precise strategy to increase the prestige of the art program being organized. For this reason, we plan to share lessons with trusted and competent resource persons. This event is titled "Art Event Publication Strategies in Mass Media." The goal is to increase knowledge of publications and networking between art activists and the media.
On the agenda we plan to invite
Mr. Gregorius Magnus Finesso (Head of Kompas Central Java - Yogyakarta Bureau) to provide special lessons for the participants (students, lecturers, and public) about knowledge and effective writing. The extent of the work of an art activist in marketing his activities through mass media both locally, nationally and internationally.
In this context, the speaker gave an overview of today's mass media and the most effective ways of expression. The correlation between media and technology to the relationship between various readers and the art agenda. For this reason, knowledge about mass media and readers needs to be given in this workshop before practicing writing about art events by the participants.
