Yogyakarta, May 21, 2025 - The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta once again held an inspirational activity entitled "Agency Partner Workshop by Kamulyan and Visinema" on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Sasana Ajiyasa Building. This activity is part of an effort to strengthen collaboration between the academic world and the creative industry, as well as open students' and alumni's insights into professional career opportunities in the field of animation and audio-visual content.
Presenting the main speaker Novia Puspa Sari, Line Producer from Visinema Studios, the initial session of the workshop presented an interesting explanation of the animation film production process. "Jumbo", which is currently the highest grossing animated film in Indonesia. Novia explains how the complex yet systematic production stages are key to the success of large animation projects such as Jumbo. In her presentation, Novia also emphasized that career opportunities in the animation industry are wide open, especially for DKV graduates, considering that this industry continues to grow rapidly along with technological advances and increasing market demand for high-quality visual content. "The potential for Indonesian animation to compete in the global arena is great, it's just a matter of how we package the story so that it can penetrate the market," Novia said in the discussion session.
The session was followed by the team from Kamulyan Creative, Khafidz Shubhky, Dimas Haryoko, and Septi Suci Wibowo. The three of them shared deep insights on the importance of storytelling in creating audio-visual content that can reach a wide market. They discussed strategies in understanding audience tastes as well as techniques in building relevant and engaging visual narratives, both in animation and animation formats. motion graphics. According to presenters from Kamulyan, visual content such as animation and motion graphics have the advantage of conveying messages effectively and emotionally.
After the presentation and discussion session, the event continued with an intensive workshop on making motion videos. Participants, consisting of active students, lecturers, and alumni of the DKV ISI Yogyakarta study program, were given direct opportunities to develop ideas into short-duration visual works with direct guidance from the Kamulyan Creative team. The atmosphere of the workshop was interactive and productive, showing high enthusiasm from the participants.
To conclude, a presentation session of the best works was held, which provided a space for appreciation and constructive feedback from the speakers. Some of the works presented were considered to show high potential and worthy of further development into professional projects.
