On Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Sasana Ajiyasa Building FSR ISI Yogyakarta, the 68th Anniversary of ASRI was held. Approximately 125 guests attended the celebration of the 68th Anniversary of ASRI which included Lecturers and employees of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Artists, Retirees and BEM and HMJ FSR ISI Yogytakarta.
This time as the chairman of the committee, Mr. P. Gogor Bangsa, S.Sn., M.Sn., (Lecturer of Visual Communication Design Study Program FSR ISI Yogyakarta). The commemoration of Harlah ASRI began with remarks from the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Suastiwi, M.Des., in his speech he conveyed 2 hopes, namely intentionality and creativity in facing problems. First, the intentionality of our leaders, they are successful individuals, who have worked by having a certain goal, according to the challenges of their time, with them they are the only ones who have been successful.

Intentionality is about focusing on doing things the right way, time after time, day after day, and so on in a consistent way. Secondly, creativity in dealing with problems, I am sure that during his leadership period, he must have faced and maybe even often faced problems. Problems or obstacles are conditions that must exist for every success. A life free from obstacles and difficulties will reduce all its possibilities and potentials to zero, or a life that stops. If life has no problems then it loses its creative tension.

But more than that, it is an effort to remember the origin of where we are today. especially the further we go, it is important for the current generation to recognize the origin so as not to break up with its roots. It is also an attempt to appreciate ourselves as an institution.

It has been a long journey - 68 years - towards
an established age. Through this commemoration we always
remembering that today can never be separated from the fabric of the past
that shaped it. There would be no present without the past. But that doesn't mean we should always look to the past.
At this commemoration with the main event is the inauguration of the
portraits of the leaders of the institution - from ASRI, STSRI "Asri", FSRD to FSR including R.J. Katamsi Martohardjo, Ignatius Djumadi Hadisuwarno, M.Ed., Abas Alibasyah, Abdul Kadir, M.A., Drs. Saptoto, Drs. Narno S., Drs. Sun Ardi, SU, Drs. Sukarman, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum., among others. This event is also inseparable from efforts to remember and honor the leaders of this institution who with all their efforts realized what we see and enjoy now. Of course, it is not the time for us to be carried away by the past, because the future awaits us full of challenges. So at the age of 68, the younger generation of this institution is ready to welcome the future with optimism and enthusiasm. As stated by the Chairman of ASRI's 68th Anniversary in his speech.
In the commemoration of the 68th anniversary of ASRI as a biography presenter was Drs. Baskoro Suryo Banindro, M.Sn. with the title Historical Sketch of Curriculum from ASRI to FSR ISI Yogyakarta. Quoting in the final note, "It needs to be a piweling, that the curriculum may change and always read the times, but the strength of local expressions of sketches, shape drawings and nirmana that have been traditionalized and made the "soul of art" since the ASRI period and have "established the soul" of FSR fine arts students today, must be maintained as a great strength to develop skills, imagery, expression, creativity that can be applied in various majors of fine arts, crafts and design both in the field of art and design.
