Visit of SMK N 2 Sewon to FSR ISI Yogyakarta

For the umpteenth time the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta had a guest visit from Vocational High School (SMK) N 2 Sewon, on Thursday, December 12, 2013 with 87 students and 5 accompanying teachers. The visit was received at the Sasana Ajiyasa Building FSR ISI Yogyakarta by the Head of the Education Subdivision (Jaka Sudarna, S.IP), followed by remarks from the head of the group Drs. Sudjit Daryanto. He conveyed their purpose of visiting the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta, namely to introduce students to lectures before they graduate from SMK so as to add insight, references and provide knowledge to students to equip them to go to the college level after they graduate.

The visit was warmly welcomed by the Assistant Dean I FSR ISI Yogyakarta. He expressed his gratitude for the visit and hopefully this visit will continue and become a stepping stone for students to continue their studies at FSR ISI Yogyakarta. It is hoped that students from SMK N 2 Sewon will become students of FSR ISI Yogyakarta.

After the briefing from the Assistant Dean I, the group was then taken to the DKV studio gallery and the Craft Department to see the work of students from the first semester to the final semester. In the DKV Study Program, the visit was received by one of the DKV lecturers, Drs. Baskoro SUryo Banindro, M.Sn. He welcomed the visit and explained the lecture process from the first semester to the final semester. He welcomed the visit and explained the lecture process from the first semester to the end and gave an overview of the job prospects of DKV graduates such as Teachers, Lecturers, Animators, Comics, Photographers, Creative Directors, Art Directors, etc.

In the Craft Department, the group was also warmly welcomed by the Secretary of the Craft Department (Joko Subiharto, S.E., M.Sc.) who is one of the lecturers in the Craft Department. Not only an explanation but the students were invited to attend lectures in the Craft Department and were also invited to the Batik Studio to find out the process of making batik.
