Visit and Comparative Study from Darmajaya Informatics and Business Institute

The Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta received a visit from the Faculty of Design, Law, and Tourism of Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business in the framework of benchmarking on November 10, 2023 on the 1st Floor of Sasana Ajiyasa Building FSR ISI Yogyakarta. Ronny Nazar, SE, M.M. as Vice Rector 2 of Darmajaya Informatics and Business Institute Lampung said that the purpose of this activity with the theme "Road to The Best Faculty" was to enrich and understand more about the implementation of the Interior Design and Visual Communication Design study programs of FSR ISI Yogyakarta. This activity was opened by the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Muhammad Sholahudin, S.Sn., M.T.

Participants from Darmajaya Lampung Informatics and Business Institute included Vice Rector II, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Law, and Tourism, Secretary of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Interior Design Study Program Lecturer, Head of Business Law Study Program and Head of Tourism Study Program. The participants from the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta were the Dean, Assistant Dean II, Head of Study Program / Secretary of Visual Communication Design and Interior Design Study Program as well as FSR Public Relations Team and ISI Yogyakarta Public Relations Team.

The main purpose of this comparative study is to broaden the horizons, cooperation, and
gain a deeper understanding of best practices, teaching methods,
academic management, as well as curriculum development that has proven to be successful at
Faculty of Fine Arts, especially in the Visual Communication Design and Interior Design study programs.

Head of the Interior Design Department, Setya Budi Astanto, S.Sn., M.Sn and Head of the Visual Communication Design Department, Daru Tunggul Aji, S.S., M.A who also attended this activity emphasized the importance of collaboration with various parties both industry and government in professional work and the implementation of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka program. Also present were outstanding student representatives from the Interior Design and Visual Communication Design study programs who revealed the learning ecosystem at FSR ISI Yogyakarta which equipped them to achieve various achievements.

Head of the Interior Design Department Setya Budi Astanto, S.Sn., M.Sn. said that based on the Higher Education Database (PDDikti) the Interior Design Study Program is a Study Program with Excellent Accreditation. To achieve this accreditation cannot be achieved in a short time, but we have prepared several years in advance. We connect final year students to do Professional Work to several large companies, so that this can train the mental strength of future students in facing the world of work. Students can also practice the knowledge that has been obtained on campus to be applied to the world of work. We already have data on around 800 companies that final year students can go to for Professional Work. We are also currently preparing for the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) International Accreditation.

The activity continued with a visit It is hoped that through discussions from FSR ISI Yogyakarta with IIB Darmajaya in this activity, both institutions can progress and develop.
