Under normal lecture conditions, craft students are required to attend once a week in the computer studio room of the Craft Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia. Due to the limited computer facilities compared to the number of students taking this course, the students are divided into three classes. This application practice lecture is held every Tuesday and Friday morning and Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, in the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning method has been changed to an online system (in the network). Online lectures are an online-based system using Whatsapp Group as a learning medium. Students who take this course every meeting get lecture material in the form of PDF task explanations, video tutorials, and weekly assignments given by the lecturer, all assignments and instructions are submitted to the Class Whatshapp Group. The weekly assignments given are tasks related to the techniques of forming craft objects from simple to more complicated and complex objects. Weekly assignments are collected to the lecturer via email.

As the final assignment of the semester, which is also the Final Semester Examination assignment, students are required to design a design that will later be realized into a prototype object. In this case, students are assigned to design an abstract patterned pashmina or shawl using polyester fabric measuring 50 cm x 150 cm. To facilitate the process of realizing the task, students are guided by the lecturer from the design process to the printing process.

In the evaluation and assessment process, students are required to submit the results of the assignment and the design design that will be realized. After the printing process is complete, students must take pictures of their work and then send the photos to the lecturer via email. The assessment is taken from attendance 10%, weekly assignments 30%, midterm exam 30%, and final exam 30%. Based on the evaluation of the learning process with the online method above, it can be assessed that 95% is running well. Students can carry out tasks well and smoothly. Most students submit assignments in accordance with the provisions. There were only 3 students who did not pass due to resignation.
