International Craft Day (ICD) #3 and International Fashion Day (IFD) #2, organized by the Craft Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, ISI Yogyakarta, are entering their third year. This time, the main theme is Craft; The Voice of Objects, which attempts to respond to global craft developments. The event will be held on November 22-23, 2022, at the Ajiyasa Building and the Craft Department Building, FSR ISI Yogyakarta. The exhibition will be held from November 22-30, 2022, at the Craft Department, FSR ISI Yogyakarta.
The Voice of Object also strives to ignite the courage and spirit of craftspeople, both academic and self-taught, to continue voicing their aspirations, expressions, and freedom of opinion through their creations or craft objects. Craft is no longer seen and understood solely as a practical functional item, but also moves and manifests as a cultural object as well as a medium for conveying the maker's message. Craft also plays a role as a work that sophisticated, because it is a marker of the times and a culture created with great reverence.
ICD #3 and IFD #2 this year have several agendas such as an Art Exhibition, Fashion Show, Bazaar showcasing art products, and a Sharing Session. ICD #3 and IFD #2 involve the institution's best partners both domestic and international, such as from Telkom University-Bandung, UiTM-Malaysia, Hunan University of Science and Technology-China, Lasalle College of the Arts-Singapore, and Setali Indonesia. They will share stories, knowledge, experiences, and of course, insights that will surely enrich the understanding and horizons not only for students but also for anyone who attends and is interested.
