Fhe Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta or FSRD ISI Yogyakarta is the best FSRD in Indonesia and is currently ranked 151-200 in QS World by Subject Visual Arts and Design. FSRD ISI Yogyakarta was actually born on January 15, 1950 under the name Akademi Seni Rupa Indonesia or better known as ASRI. At that time, the purpose of establishing the Faculty of Fine Arts was to improve and develop Indonesian art and culture, and strengthen the sense of nationality of all citizens. At this time FSRD ISI Yogyakarta has 9 Study Programs (Prodi) namely; Pure Art Study Program, Art Conservation Study Program, Craft Study Program, Batik Craft Fashion Design Study Program (D4), Interior Design Study Program, Visual Communication Design Study Program, Product Design Study Program, Media Design Study Program, and Art Management Study Program. Based on its long history and tradition as an art and design higher education institution, the current study programs aim to produce creators and researchers in the field of art and design who are superior, skilled, creative, innovative, and have a strong personality. As the oldest academy of fine arts and design in Indonesia, the alumni of FSRD ISI Yogyakarta have spread in various fields, both as employees in government agencies, national companies, as well as owning small and medium enterprises, as well as working in the real world as artists, craftsmen, and designers. The Special Region of Yogyakarta, where FSRD ISI Yogyakarta is located, is rich in artistic and cultural traditions that have a positive influence on students. Many art and cultural activities take place in this city that can be utilized by students to feel and engage, absorb and live the meaning of art directly and naturally. The dynamics of art activities and life on campus and in Yogyakarta provide opportunities for students to meet and communicate with artists, curators, and other members of the art community to broaden their horizons and build networks. With broad insights and extensive networks, it is hoped that students and graduates will be sufficiently equipped to build their own careers in the future. Our vision is to become a reliable center for fostering and developing art and design, therefore it is fair to say that being a student of FSRD ISI Yogyakarta is a clear path to success.
