The Faculty of Fine Arts at ISI Yogyakarta organized an exhibition for FSR ISI Yogyakarta students with the theme “Wake Up.” The exhibition was officially opened by the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta (Dr. Timbul Raharjo, M.Hum) on Monday, November 30, 2020, at the Dean's Building and the surrounding area of the Faculty of Fine Arts, ISI Yogyakarta. The artworks displayed by the students are pieces that respond to the pandemic, COVID-19, and COVID-19 protocols.
Covid-19 is not an obstacle to continue working, but rather something that provides a trigger, direction, and new creativity in the new normal order in Indonesia and the world for artistic performance, said the Vice Dean III of FSR ISI Yogyakarta (Lutse Lambert Daniel Morin, S.Sn., M.Sn.) in his welcoming remarks.
Social restrictions indirectly cause a few problems in terms of presentation and appreciation. How do artists work on creations without a space to present the ideas they have developed to be subsequently presented to the public? The contemplation of artists over the past few months has prompted BEM FSR ISI Yogyakarta to reopen exhibition spaces as a means of presentation for artists, especially FSR ISI Yogyakarta students. This student exhibition aims to rekindle the spirit of creating, so that artists can return to their creative processes.
