Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the Dean's Office Conference Room on the 2nd floor, the inauguration of the Student Executive Body (BEM) and Department Student Association (HMJ) management of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta was held. In addition to representatives of the BEM and HMJ management, this inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Dean, Assistant Dean II, Assistant Dean III, and the Head of Student Affairs. The names of the cabinets for the BEM and HMJ FSR ISI Yogyakarta for the 2020/2021 period are: SOKA TARA (Social, Familial, and Equal) works socially within the academic community of the extended Faculty of Fine Arts family, fostering collegiality among students and the environment, and upholding equal rights and obligations among students. Work programs support art learning in the era new normal.
The event began with an opening and prayer, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem. The first welcoming speech was delivered by the Vice Dean III, followed by the speech of the Dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts ISI Yogyakarta, who also inaugurated the BEM and HMJ management. The inauguration was marked by the reading of the pledge of commitment to carry out duties and lead the management with nationalism in the soul of art. Then, there was a symbolic handover of duties and responsibilities from the old BEM management to the new management. The event concluded with a speech from the elected Chairman of the BEM of the Faculty of Visual Arts. This ceremonial was held in a hybrid format (online and live streaming).
Hopefully, the Student Executive Body and Department Student Associations for the 2020/2021 period can play an active role in carrying out the vision and mission to make the Faculty of Visual Arts, ISI Yogyakarta, advanced and full of artistic spirit.
