Arts Campuses in Two Major Cities Collaborate with Independent Campus

SHNet, Jakarta-The cooperation between study programs in the Merdeka Campus Learning Merdeka Campus (MBKM) series continues. After the inaugural meeting was held at the end of 2022, right on Friday afternoon, on March 8, 2023, the collaboration between the S-1 Art Management Study Program of the FSR ISI Yogyakarta and the S-1 Pure Fine Arts Study Program of the FSRD of the Jakarta Arts Institute was finally signed.

Cooperation is carried out in mainly the field of education; then organizing campus activities including comparative studies, joint exhibitions, discussions, seminars, workshops, joint research, and Community Service (PKM); and Exchange of resource persons (lecturers) for public agendas.

In the signing session of the Cooperation Agreement, each party was represented by the Head of Study Program, namely Dr. Mikke Susanto, M.A. from TKS ISI Yogyakarta and Jimmy Ivan Suhendro, M. Sn. from Pure Art IKJ. On this occasion also witnessed by each Dean. FSR ISI Yogyakarta was represented by Assistant Dean I, Mr. Dr. Yulriawan Dafri and from FSRD IKJ directly signed by the Dean, Mr. Anindyo Widito, M.Sn. The atmosphere of the meeting seemed relaxed, but serious and resulted in a number of decisions.

The cooperation agreement that will be carried out for 2 years outlines various work programs. Programs for the public and internal campus are planned. Materials for students are also scheduled, including art exhibitions/workshops that will be held in Yogyakarta and Jakarta. In addition, plans for courses that could later be adopted in the context of the emergence of the specialization (or Prodi) of Art Management at IKJ were also discussed.

At least through the cooperation of art universities located in two major cities, it is important for Indonesia. The development of public programs on these two campuses in 2023-2025 brings positive opportunities related to existing programs. It is hoped that this collaboration will be able to provide color for students and alumni, as well as increase art appreciation in the general public. (sur)
