ASRI's 73rd Anniversary

ASRI's 73rd Harlah (Birthday) was held today. This activity began with a pilgrimage to the Kerkhof Tomb and the Giri Sapto Artist Tomb at 07.30 WIB with the gathering point of the FSR ISI Yogyakarta deanate, which was attended by ISI Yogyakarta academicians consisting of Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum (Rector of ISI Yogyakarta) along with assistant rectors 1, 2, and 3, Dr. Timbul Raharjo, M.Hum (Dean of FSR) along with the assistant dean of FSR and the heads and secretaries of departments within the FSR ISI Yogyakarta. The pilgrimage to the tomb was interpreted as a moment to send prayers to the founders of ASRI, followed by sprinkling flowers as a form of gratitude.

In addition to these events followed by the second activity, namely the handover of the building of the Governance department of ISI Yogyakarta which began at 11.00 am. The series of activities consisted of cutting the first tumpeng by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum in commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of ASRI given to Mr. Joko Pekik as an alumnus of ASRI and to a young lecturer, Nandang Septian, S.Ds., M.Ds. as a form of hope to raise the spirit for the younger generation. While the second tumpeng was cut by the dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta Dr. Timbul Raharjo, M.Hum which was given to the head of the Governance Department of FSR ISI Yogyakarta as a form of handover of the Tatat kelola Department building. After the cutting ceremony continued with a group photo of the ISI Yogyakarta academic community, Alumni, and colleagues. This activity is themed Pilgrimage: Nurturing The Sense And Desire Of Art, is an effort to live art and life in general. As heirs to the spirit of the founders of ASRI who are responsible for the promotion of the arts in Indonesia, performing rituals to maintain the spirit is an obligation. At the end of the activity, there will be a workshop attended by ASRI Alumni, ISI Yogyakarta Academic Community, and Colleagues from ISI Yogyakarta.
