ARTJOG can be said to be an epoch-marker in the second decade of the 2000 millennium. If in the past the markers of the times often followed the movements and creativity of artists or galleries, then now the exhibition program is the icon of the times. ARTJOG has marked not only as an event, but also as a momentum of togetherness.
Pemad as the driving force has succeeded in giving birth to ARTJOG as an ideological child that understands many public needs. If we feel that the excitement of the exhibition functions for various things, in the end, art will continue to move as a necessity of life. That's the interesting thing. Not only as a means of showing works for artists, but also as a space for the "politics" of the art market, as well as a leisure existence. All of that is natural.
On August 8, 2020, ARTJOG will return. Will it be a solvent for the problems we are currently facing? As a visual recreation space, a melting point for the eyes, or will it be something else?
It is interesting to listen to Heri Pemad's words about efforts to reduce the current pandemic. What are the things that are faced in the midst of our current dynamic public health, socio-political issues? If possible, in the midst of a pandemic, would we think that the art business will continue to run smoothly or will it become more difficult to manage?
