FSR ISI Yogyakarta has held a Workshop on Strengthening Student Trusteeship on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Sasana Ajiyasa Building, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta with guest speaker Dr. Budi Andayani, M.A., he is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology UGM Yogyakarta. Participants in this activity were all lecturers and officials in the FSR ISI Yogyakarta environment.
he person in charge of the activity is Mrs. Wiwik Sri Wulandari, S.Sn., M.Sn as Assistant Dean I FSR ISI Yogyakarta. This agenda was opened by the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Suastiwi, M.Des. The purpose of this activity is to motivate and encourage lecturers to :
- Briefing students in planning their study plan
- Give consideration to students regarding courses and the number of credits that can be taken for each semester according to the student's IP
- Encourage students to learn and work regularly and continuously and instill discipline and strengthen their potential.
- Reminding mentored students whose academic performance is declining
- Remind students of academic regulations, especially those related to the first evaluation and semester study period limits before the resignation decree (SK) is issued by the Rector.
- Report to the Head of the Department if the student under his/her supervision does not pass the first evaluation or the final study result evaluation
- Provide advice and other information about students who are guided to parties deemed necessary.
In addition, in his remarks PD I FSR ISI Yogyakarta said that the role of lecturers as Academic Supervisors should not only act as educators but also act as student companions so that they can motivate their students.
Dr. Budi Andayani, MA. also conveyed the micro skills that need to be owned by Academic Supervisors are: Communication (paying attention, active listening, tracing information, reflecting on feelings, staying concrete).
