Liga ASRI is Liga (League: English) and ASRI (which takes the name of the Indonesian Academy of Fine Arts). 2003 was the last year of ASRI League activities. As time went by, after that the ASRI League was vacuumed for 6 years until 2010 it was again carried out at the idea of BEM FSR for the 2008-2010 period. In 2003 until previously the ASRI League used a soccer league format because it had become a tradition from the previous year which was initiated by the Fine Arts community when the campus was still in Gamping. In 2010 the ASRI League changed its format from soccer to Outdoor Futsal which took place north of the Dean of Fine Arts which has now become the GKU Ajiyasa building. But unfortunately in the following year, the ASRI league experienced a vacuum until it was held again in 2012 with the Indoor Futsal format which was held at Piramid Luxor Futsal Stadium.
The new hope that was carried in 2012 continued to have an impact on the familiarity between fellow alumni and the ISI Jogja academic community which materialized with the return of the ASRI League in 2013 with the same venue as the 2012 ASRI League. Carrying a knockout format with the theme of having fun, this event was a success with the champion being the Brontak FC Team. Now after many months of waiting for almost a year, it was time for the ASRI League to return with its existence to spoil the art community with its league. The atmosphere formed in the previous year's event is expected to be able to boost artistic motivation that can be expressed through a hilarious but serious futsal match.
The 2014 ASRI League uses a new format, Indoor Futsal with a Full Competition match system. Where each team will be divided into several groups to fight each other (not the real meaning) for the first position or group winners who will advance to the knock-out phase in the last eight. After that each team will fight with the knock-out system from the eighth, quarter, semifinal and final to compete for the beautiful league trophy and establish themselves as the 2014 ASRI League champions. And of course each team that participates in the competition will carry their respective art styles. The new hope of the ASRI League in the 2014 political year with the spirit of democracy organized by art tactics and the skill of players in processing the round skin will be a magnet worthy of being enjoyed and watched with your beloved family.
The 2014 Asri League was attended by 28 men's teams and 4 women's teams. The teams are divided into several groups that will compete for the ISI Yogyakarta Rector trophy. Carrying the theme "lets play and move on" is expected to be the attraction and spirit of art in all aspects of life. Therefore, happy watching.
