Sleman, October 12, 2025 - A warm atmosphere was felt at Avta Mandiri Creative Studio, Prambanan, Sleman Regency. A number of wood craftsmen with disabilities listened enthusiastically to the explanation from the ISI Yogyakarta service team in the socialization activity. Nusantara Art Innovation Program<\/strong> (PISN) 2025. For them, the upcoming training is not just a program, but a doorway to economic independence and pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This community service team consists of lecturers from across study programs: Nandang Septian (Product Design), Silvya Bintang Ayu Candradewi (Product Design), Amar Leina Chindany (Visual Communication Design), and Amanda Amalia Faustine Gittawati (Media Design). They also included three ISI Yogyakarta students, namely Raheesh Hafid Mahardika, Aditya Alwin Alwaysa, and Ayunda Regina A., who played an active role in accompanying participants with disabilities in each training session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"People with disabilities have the ability to innovate and produce high-quality work. All they need is access and opportunity,\" said Nandang Septian, Head of the Organizing Team, during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program focuses on strengthening design skills, applying wood engraving technology, and developing the following branding<\/em> products. In addition to providing technical training, ISI Yogyakarta also assisted Avta Mandiri in the aspect of visual identity<\/em> and marketing strategies, so that their woodcraft products can penetrate a wider market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is also part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals<\/em> <\/strong>(SDGs) points 8 and 9: Decent Work and Economic Growth<\/em> <\/strong> and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure<\/strong><\/em>. Through this cross-disciplinary training, Avta Mandiri is expected to become an example of social inclusion good practice in the art and design sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Art and design is an inclusive space. Here, everyone has the right to create, including friends with disabilities,\" added Nandang, closing the socialization session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is the beginning of a new journey for Avta Mandiri. With the support of the academic world and the spirit of cross-field collaboration, creativity has proven to be a bridge to independence and empowerment for people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
