The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program, FSRD ISI Yogyakarta held a Festival event entitled Selang, Seling, Sulang<\/em> with four main agendas, namely exhibitions, workshop<\/em>, talk show<\/em> and drawing together. This event aims to showcase the exploration and experimentation of the diversity of styles of each designer in design visualization, both lecturers, students and alumni. Chairperson of the event Hesti Rahayu, S.Sn., MA, stated that this event is a place for visual encounters between individuals who are intermittent, together presented in the same space to toast each other. \"Celebrating authenticity together!\" she emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the exhibition event held June 01 - 05, 2025 at LAV Gallery, visitors were presented with various student assignments, ranging from elementary design courses, shape drawing, illustration, to typography made manually. There are also written works of lecturers in the form of books, to the work of design projects from DKV ISI Yogyakarta alumni. The event workshop<\/em> filled by Daradasih, S.Ds., a graduate of DKV ISI Yogyakarta who shared knowledge and creativity in book binding. Three talk shows were held related to the creative and academic world, namely about the comic TU!WA!GA! by Cahya Verdian, the book \"Educating People with Machines\"<\/em> written by Prof. Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum, these two events are talk show<\/em> can be followed by the general public. In addition, there was a discussion about accreditation with LAMDEPILAR by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ilya Fadjar Maharika which was attended by lecturers of Visual Communication Design Study Program and ISI Yogyakarta design department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three activities were carried out in May 2025 at the ISI Yogyakarta campus, namely workshop<\/em> drawing caricatures with Asnar Zacky, S.Sn., M.Sn., a retired lecturer at DKV ISI Yogyakarta, the utilization of recycled paper by Palka Kreatif studio, and audio-visual techniques in designing digital illustrations with Kamulyan and Visinema. According to FX. Widyatmoko, Sn.Sn., M.Sn., as the PIC of this event, workshop<\/em> The event was made to add insight and creativity to students in visualization, both in terms of ideas, concepts and technicalities. In addition, he said that students should always have sensitivity to socio-political situations in addition to courage and truthfulness in their opinions to maintain the main values of living together, democracy. \"Especially in workshop<\/em> caricature,\" he said. In addition to the exhibition and talkshow<\/em>visitors can also enjoy a variety of creative experiences that can only be experienced directly on site, such as multi-color stamping to a variety of merchandise<\/em> unique items that can be purchased. Not only that, Asnar Zacky will also be present again to draw together around the Krapyak stage which can be followed by the community.
