Yogyakarta, May 3, 2025 - The Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta presents an exhibition entitled \"Simpul Jejak\", a meaningful tribute to retired lecturers who have devoted themselves exceptionally in shaping the scientific and artistic landscape in the academic environment of ISI Yogyakarta. The exhibition was officially opened by the Dean of FSRD ISI Yogyakarta on May 3, 2025 at the RJ Katamsi Gallery of ISI Yogyakarta, and will run until May 10, 2025. The general public, artists, academics, and students are invited to view this exhibition as a form of appreciation for the contributions of art educators who have made an important mark in the development of national art institutions and ecosystems. The exhibition features the works of six retired lecturers: Drs. AG Hartono, M.Sn., Dra. Djandjang Purwo Sedjati, M.Hum., Drs. Hartoto Indra Suwahyunto, M.S., and the late Prof. Dr. Drs. Timbul Raharjo, M.Hum., Drs. Dendi Suwandi, M.S., and RA. Sekartaji Suminto, S.Sn., M.Sn. These works are fragments of their long journey - both as academics and artists - who have made a major contribution in shaping the identity of FSRD ISI Yogyakarta. \"Simpul Jejak\" is not just a ceremonial event, but an appreciation space that brings together cross-generations of lecturers through works. In addition to the works of retired lecturers, this exhibition also involves the active participation of lecturers who are still teaching, as a form of continuity of tradition and regeneration of thought in the realm of art and design. The exhibition curator explained that the title \"Simpul Jejak\" refers to the close relationships that the lecturers have established through the process of learning, creating, and sharing knowledge. These knots form a network of thought, creativity and dedication that connects the past, present and future of ISI Yogyakarta. Through this exhibition, the collective memory of the exemplary and creative spirit of the predecessors is revived as a source of inspiration for the next generation. This exhibition is also a form of ISI Yogyakarta's commitment to maintaining the tradition of respect for retired staff, as an integral part of academic culture. Not only symbolic, but also substantial, this exhibition underlines the strategic contribution of lecturers in shaping a sustainable and highly competitive art ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
